Get Pre-approved Before You Search

Pre-approval is different from pre-qualification. Pre-qualification is a quick estimate based on what you tell a lender. Pre-approval means a lender has actually reviewed and verified your finances and approved you for a specific loan amount. It tells sellers you’re serious, and it tells you exactly what you can afford.

To get pre-approved, you’ll provide documented financial information like income, bank statements, assets, debt, and credit reports for the lender to review and verify.

Pre-Approval vs Pre-Qualification

Pre-qualification is an estimate. Pre-approval means a lender has actually reviewed your finances and committed to a loan amount.
