MEET THE TEAM

We’re Margot & Kwaku

A husband-and-wife real estate team rooted in the Orlando area. We live here, we work here, and we treat every client like a neighbor we’d want to keep.

who we are

The Team Behind Wilde & Mitchell

Wilde & Mitchell is the evolution of what Kwaku built over 16 years, rebuilt with a partner, a new name, and a shared vision.

We started this team because we believe real estate should feel personal, clear, and human. We don’t rush decisions or create pressure. We show up, do the work, and move you forward.

Kwaku brings 16+ years of pricing strategy, negotiation, and market expertise. Margot brings precision, organization, financial acumen, and fresh eyes on what clients actually need. Together, we cover every angle of your transaction, from the first conversation to the day you get your keys and long after.

rooted here

This Isn’t Just Where We Work – It’s Home.

We’re not the kind of agents who drive in from somewhere else, show you a few houses, and disappear. We actually live here. We work here, celebrate here, walk our dog here, and spend our weekends here. Central Florida isn’t a market to us. It’s our daily life.

We live just north of Orlando in a house we recently bought together and are slowly renovating. Between us, we’ve been here a long time. Kwaku grew up in Central Florida after his family moved down from New York State. Margot landed here in 2008 from the Pacific Northwest, looking for a change of pace from all the fog and rain.

Central Florida didn’t feel like home right away. The humidity took some getting used to, and so did the bugs. There were things we missed about other places, like mountains, lush green forests, and variety in the landscape.

But then we fell for the beaches. The year-round outdoor life. The fact that you can swim, hike, kayak, and eat outside in December. The proximity to everywhere. Tampa is 90 minutes one way. New Smyrna Beach is an hour the other. Theme parks, springs, and quiet little towns in every direction.

What we didn’t expect was how the community would grow on us. One neighbor, one local restaurant, one weekend at a state park at a time.

Now we walk our neighborhood together every day with our Bernedoodle. We hike the trails at Wekiwa Springs and Oakland Nature Preserve. We take weekend trips to New Smyrna and Venice Beach. We’ve watched downtown Sanford become one of the best evenings in Central Florida, with the lakefront walks, craft breweries, and a real art scene that finally matches the bones of the town. We’ve been known to drive an hour and a half to a drive-in movie in Ocala just because it sounded fun. We stop at Cranes Roost just to walk the loop on a quiet morning.

This is the part of Central Florida we know best. The streets that feel like community. The neighborhoods you grow into. The local restaurants you keep coming back to. The pockets of town that surprise you. We sell where we live.

why this matters

A Home Is More Transformative Than People Realize

We’ve seen it in our own lives. Before we bought our home together, each of us had already renovated and rented out our own places. We know what it takes to manage a renovation, work with vendors, live through the mess, and come out the other side with something better. We’ve also been a part of major moves for the people closest to us. Helping family members rent now and buy later. Watching someone get the right space in the right neighborhood and become a different person because of it. More confident. More settled. More themselves.

The right area, the right neighborhood, the right amount of space, the right amenities. These aren’t just details on a wish list. They’re the foundation of how someone actually gets to live their life. Where you wake up, where you take your coffee, who you wave to on your morning walk, how long your commute is, whether the kitchen has room for the people you love. We take that seriously.

That’s why we work with people we genuinely want to know. Friends. Neighbors. The person who installed our floors. The lender we’ve trusted for years because he finds the path forward when other lenders just say no. The contractors we’ve used on our own properties. Real people, real lives, real goals.

We don’t do this just to make money. We do it because the relationships we build are the part that actually matters, long after the paperwork is signed.

OWNER / REALTOR®

Kwaku Mitchell

The negotiator. The optimist. The one who’s never met a stranger.

Kwaku has spent 16 years mastering what it actually takes to win in real estate: sharp pricing, smart negotiation, and a real understanding of how people make decisions under pressure.

Before he ever put a for-sale sign in a yard, he was a professional musician. He holds a B.A. in Economics from UCF with a minor in Music Performance, and he played professionally before transitioning into real estate. That background gave him something most agents don’t have: an ear for timing, a discipline for practice, and the ability to perform when the stakes are real. His saxophone is currently tuned and waiting for him to join a local stage again.

His credentials are deep: Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert (CDRE®), Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS), Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), and more. He’s guided hundreds of transactions totaling over $100M in volume. He served on the Board of Directors at Central Florida Vocal Arts for six years, including Vice President. He’s a Leadership Winter Park graduate and has served as a Special Magistrate. Learn more about our divorce real estate services.

But the part of working with Kwaku that clients actually remember is simpler: he’s clear, direct, always in your corner, and somehow always optimistic. He’s the kind of person who treats every introduction like the start of something.

OWNER / REALTOR®

Margot Mitchell

The organizer. The skeptic. The one who actually reads every page.

Margot came to real estate the long way, and that’s exactly what makes her different.

Before she ever looked at a listing, she built a career around precision and care. She started as a professional gardener, working on private estates across Central Florida and completing the University of Florida Extension Master Gardener program. She still gardens at home, mostly native and pollinator-friendly plants like weeping bottlebrush, chaste tree, firebush, and muhly grass, with bright annuals like celosia, marigolds, and zinnias mixed in.

She then earned a B.B.A. in Accounting magna cum laude from Florida Atlantic University and joined a Central Florida CPA firm as audit staff, auditing condominium associations, HOAs, and nonprofit organizations while preparing individual and business tax returns. That’s where the habit of reading every document, catching every detail, and questioning anything that doesn’t add up became second nature.

She got her Florida real estate license in 2026 and co-founded Wilde & Mitchell so the work she and Kwaku were already doing together could become a real, shared business. The gardener, the accountant, and the organizer all show up in how she works. Detail-oriented, organized, occasionally sharply funny, and genuinely invested in how every transaction turns out.

how we work

What It’s Actually Like To Work With Us

We’re a real team, not a brand label. We work together every day. We walk our neighborhood every day. We talk through every client situation, every offer, every challenge together before we respond. You get two minds on every transaction, not one agent and an assistant.

We’ve also learned what we’re each good at, and we lean into it.

Kwaku is the relationship builder and the negotiator. He’s the warmth in the room. He reads people quickly, knows how to navigate a difficult conversation, and has the patience to listen for what someone isn’t saying. After 16 years and hundreds of transactions, he understands what’s actually happening when a deal feels stuck, when an offer needs to move, when a seller is bluffing, and when a buyer is about to walk. He’s the one in your corner during the moments that count.

Margot is the strategist and the systems person. She reads every document. She catches the things most people miss. With a background in accounting and auditing, she’s the one tracking timelines, flagging issues before they become problems, and making sure no detail falls through the cracks. She also has an eye for what a home is actually worth: well-maintained vs. well-staged, real value vs. cosmetic appeal.

Together, you get someone reading the room and someone reading the paperwork. Someone leading the conversation and someone making sure the conversation produces results. We balance each other in a way that makes the work better and the outcome stronger.

We’re also not the kind of team that disappears between transactions. We stay engaged because the relationship is the point.

What you can expect:

  • Honest answers, even when they’re not what you hoped to hear
  • Proactive communication, so you’re never wondering what’s next
  • A network of trusted local professionals we use ourselves: lenders, inspectors, contractors, and vendors we’d send our own family to
  • Follow-through long after closing
  • The patience to move at your pace, not ours
what we stand for

Five Things We Don’t Compromise On

Integrity First

Always honest. Always transparent. Even when the answer isn’t the easy one.

Clarity

Real estate has more jargon than it needs. We make sure you actually understand what’s happening, every step of the way.

Discretion

Your situation, your timing, your details. We treat all of it with care and confidentiality.

Accountability

We show up. We follow through. If we said we’d do it, we’ll do it.

Grounded Service

Elevated results, grounded approach. We’re here for the outcome, not the credit.

Transaction coordinator

Bri Pinsky

Bri is our trusted transaction coordinator, keeping every deal organized and on track from contract to close. She brings precision, reliability, and clear communication to every transaction she touches, so nothing falls through the cracks and every closing goes smoothly.
